The guv’nor | Félix Solís

From one of the top 10 volume producers in Spain via Tesco, this potable Red is full, fruity and tasty. Good mouthfeel, slightly tart fruit, long stalagtite legs – good value package all round.

Tempranillo, Shiraz, Grenache blend.

Lovely dry, smooth, full bodied Red from Spain.

Excellent write-up from Elixir Wines:

Super lunch to celebrate John’s Birthday with David

As well as the ‘Droplets’ we also enjoyed La Reserve de Leoville Barton 2016 recommended by Stephane.

The Charge – Rioja – Tempranillo & Garancha – 2018 – La Bascula

Nice solid Rioja – a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha and 10% Graciano.

John and I both enjoyed this in Quatros – the first meal since March lockdown.
