Art de Vivre, Gewurtztraminer 2013, Gerard Bertrand 2013

Art de Vivre Gewurtztraminer 100714 F

Not quite the bang of a Doff & Irion, nor a Hugel, Gewurtztraminer but this offering by the prolific Bertrand from the pay d’oc is a good attenpt to mimic a classic.

Fresh and crisp with delicate floral notes, ideal for a warm summer’s evening.

Dunnes. Served to Amy & Ross at Dinner

John brought this to dinner, a very mellow, fresh tasting blackberry fruity wine named after a mountain near Montpelier in Languedoc.

Gerard Bertrand, wine notes here, owns 6 wineries in the Languedoc (including Chateau l’Hospitalet / Maison Bertrand) and was once Captain of Stade Francais.

H de L’Hospitalet 2012 Sauvignon Maison Bertrand

H de Hospitalet (Custom)

From O’Briens. We offered this to Joanne, Vincent, Leanore & Barry at our pre-wedding dinner party.

This is a solid and acceptable Sav Blanc.

Pale colour in the glass.

Very quaffable, almost Ronseal quality and was worthy of more reseach.

Their website states: “Rounded and fruity, this range of varietals typically reflects the Languedoc terroir and the Art de Vivre which Château l’Hospitalet embodies”

From O’Briens @ 9.99, from €13.99
