This came highly recommended and I thought it a pleasant enough blend with enough Sauvignon to fess up a refreshing fresh and fruity edge on a warm day.
Côtes de Gascogne
La Croisade, Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, 2011, Unoaked, Cotes de Gascogne
Cotes de Gascogne, Colombard-Ugni Blanc, 2012, Domaine D’Uby
We first met this in Cellarmaster through Alan’s recommendation.
Very refreshing, rounded pallette with not too tart grapefruit tropical citrus.
Good everyday drinking.
Tesco Wines, Selected, Cotes de Gascogne 2012
Campo Viejo Reserva 2007 Rioja
A family favourite. Tempranillo mainly. Distinctive. We actually prefer the simplicity of the standard Campo table wine as it’s nothing pretentious, though the Reserva – aged for 12 months longer in Oak – is always welcome. We presented this to the Geraghty’s: Erin, Simon, Stella & Leslie when they came to Dinner accompanied by Amy & Ross. We also enjoyed the Domaine Duffour Cotes de Gascogne 2012.
