John, Dad and I sampled this house Rose during our visits to The Wild Boar to watch the three SA tests.
A bit pricey for a table / house wine. Though pleasant enough to wash down the meat platters, unlike the result of the last two tests.
Lovely zing off this rose, crisp, clean 100% Pinot Noir, lovely with the Cheese Platter in Whelehans.
Jancis Robinson wasn’t too keen on this – preferring their standard Sancerre – but I am. Not cheap but quality shines. John brought this to dinner.
A suggestion from Provence that Saignee produced Roses aren’t the real deal.
The Burns family came to Saturday Brunch; Robbie, Nathalie, new bonny baby Becky and young James together with Nathalie’s Mum, Jannie.
This was the wine offering that hit the spot for the afternoon. Pleasant easy drinking: Whiff of Raspberry, fresh mouthfeel with decent fruits
This came from the Dunnes Summer Offer Shelf @ €8.50.
Great to see all the family on Nathalie’s annual visit and Lesley loved having the infant in the house.
